Over the past week me and my group members have been continuing with editing the footage which we filmed for the film trailer. We have concentrated on cutting down the
Unnecessary parts of the clips that we filmed to make the film trailer as a whole more dramatic and thrilling which is our main aim. Once we had cut down the clips we managed to get the full film trailer size down from a total of 4 minutes to 2 minutes 50 s. We then looked at the effects we could add to the clips in the form of slowing the clips down for more intense drama which on some clips we did use. We also focused on adding a number of transitions such as fading in and out in certain clips to add that sense of mystery. The editing stage has been a very important stage for us as it is important that we portray a certain message to the audience. We will continue to add the final touches to our film trailer in the form of the company which has created the film along with cutting clips down further and adding different effects to portray a certain message to the audience. We decided to add text on screen during the trailer to interest more people as well as create a dramatic atmosphere these were
- They thought they would be happy
- They were wrong
- One woman saw it all
- He stands accused
- He had to go back
- The Exchange
- Coming soon
One of the most important aspects that we needed to add to the trailer was a soundtrack which was entitled "'Mind Heist" by Zach Hemsey. This soundtrack began as soon as the trailer begins to play. The soundtrack was carefully picked as we wanted the soundtrack to provide an epic yet dramatic feel to the film trailer and to improve the audiences understanding of the film trailer.
